We begin our adventure as we board our flight to Alaska. Arrive in Fairbanks, our home for the next two nights. This evening we get to know each other during our welcome dinner. Meals: D

Experience Alaska Native art, music, stories, and dance at the Morris Thompson Cultural Center. Alaska mining history comes alive as we tour the Tanana Valley gold fields. Feel the magic of the North Pole as we explore the Santa Claus house and visit Santa’s reindeer. Learn about Alaskan Huskies and the tradition of dog mushing at a husky training facility. Our evening concludes with a traditional Alaska salmon bake with fresh-caught seafood roasted over an open fire and served with delicious sides.  Meals: B, D

Today we travel to Denali National Park, a six-million-acre wild land boasting snowy mountaintops and wild animals. We’ll embark on the Denali Natural History Tour, focusing on the rich natural and cultural history of the park. This four-hour tour includes the Denali Bus Depot, the historic Savage Cabin, and finally ending at the rolling hills of Primrose Ridge. We’ll check into our hotel near Denali National Park, surrounded by wilderness splendor. Enjoy the evening on your own.

Our first stop today includes the Denali Visitor Center, where we can explore exhibits, watch the park films, and talk with a park ranger.  As we approach Denali National Park, we’ll make a stop at the quaint McKinley View Lodge with spectacular views of Mt. McKinley. Moving on, we head to the Musk Ox Farm.  Enjoy a close-up experience with musk ox, a once-endangered animal that produces the finest wool in the world. We visit the Iditarod Headquarters enroute to Anchorage and spend the evening exploring on your own. Meals: B, L

We start exploring the “gateway to Alaskan adventure” with a city tour of Anchorage with highlights including the Balto statue, Mt. Susitna, Eisenhower Statehood monument, Resolution Park, and Ship Creek. The remainder of the day is yours to discover all that Anchorage has to offer. Meals: B

Climb aboard the Coastal Classic Train as we travel from Anchorage to Seward, winding along the steep mountains of the Chugach Range, with views of the scenic backcountry wilderness and stunning glaciers. We’ll cruise through the glacier-carved fjords and view the abundant wildlife of Resurrection Bay and Kenai Fjords National Park, offering some of the best glacier viewing and whale watching opportunities in Alaska. Arrive at our hotel and spend the evening exploring Seward on your own. Meals: B, L

Immerse ourselves in the wildlife of Alaska at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Savor a farewell lunch at the Alyeska Resort at the base of the Chugach Mountains. Climb aboard the Mt. Alyeska aerial tram to witness frosty views of the Turnagain Arm, hanging glaciers, and endless peaks deep into the Chugach Mountain range. Say goodbye to your Alaska adventure as we travel to the Anchorage Airport for our overnight flight home. Meals: B, L
