Experience the life of a wealthy sugar baron with a visit to Houmas House Plantation. Tour the plantation house and stroll the 38 acres of gardens. Shoot photos of moss-covered cypress trees as we journey by boat into the Louisiana bayou. Watch swamp creatures peek out from underbrush and safely come within a few feet of jumping gators. This morning we’ll pay a visit to Mardi Gras World, the largest and most respected float builder in the world. Since 1947, this company has created most of the spectacular props and floats seen in the Mardi Gras parades. This afternoon enjoy a celebration lunch at the famous Court of Two Sisters restaurant. Our bags are packed for the journey home but we have the number one attraction in New Orleans waiting for us this morning. The National WWII Museum tells the story of the American experience in the war that changed the world. Afterwards, we are off to the New Orleans airport to catch our flight back home. Meals: B
