After arriving at the Buffalo International Airport, we’ll make our way to Jamestown, New York, where we’ll check into our lakefront hotel.

We begin the day with a visit to the Robert H. Jackson Center to learn about his enduring impact as a former US Supreme Court Justice, US Chief Prosecutor at Nuremberg, and past Jamestown resident. Learn about Lucille Ball’s life as we tour LucyTown with larger-than-life murals, statues, and more. Savor a delicious meal while watching your favorite I Love Lucy episodes at the re-created Tropicana Club, Ricky Ricardo’s famous Manhattan nightclub. Take a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the I Love Lucy show at the Luci Desi Museum and learn about comedy in America at the National Comedy Center. Meals: B, D

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll discover the science and technology used in creating Pyrex, Corelle, and Optical Fiber at the Corning Museum of Glass. Watch a breathtaking glass blowing demonstration as master glassmakers twist and turn glowing gobs of molten glass to create sculptures, vases, bowls, and more. Spend time on your own in Watkins Glen on the southern shores of Seneca Lake, enjoying a leisurely lunch or strolling the cafes, shops, and museums on historic Franklin Street. Explore the It’s a Wonderful Life Museum dedicated to this holiday classic movie with recreated sets and interactive exhibits. Learn the story of the struggles for civil rights, human rights, and equality at the historic Women’s Right’s National Historic Park and the National Women’s Hall of Fame. We’ll enjoy a wine-paired meal at a local winery. We’ll explore the Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion State Historic Park, one of the nation’s most extensively preserved Victorian era estates. This morning, we head to the Letchworth State Park, known as the “Grand Canyon of the East”. The Genesee River roars through the gorge over three major waterfalls. Visit the William Pryor Letchworth Museum with Native American and pioneer artifacts and Civilian Conservation Corps materials.
